Troop 671 Welcomes You!

Troop 671 WELCOMES YOU

All boys, from any school and any faith, 6th grade up to the age of 18 are welcome to join Troop 671. We meet Mondays at 7pm in Quinn Hall at St. Hedwig church,11482 Los Alamitos Blvd., Los Alamitos, CA. Troop 671 is dedicated to the total scout experience. We strive to maintain an active schedule of outdoor adventures, facilitate rank advancements, provide leadership opportunities, and perform community service. Our goal is to develop young adults who live the virtues of scouting and experience a lifetime of memories.

St. Hedwig Autumnfest 2025!

It's time for the annual St. Hedwig Church Autumnfest!  
As our way of giving back to our scout home and to fund raise for our troop, we run the exciting Goldfish Booth throughout the festival weekend!  
A scout and their adult will work a shift together. 

Scouts who are 14 and older may work a different shift from their adult's shift to help accommodate the high school busy schedules and adults work schedules.

Tanglewood is now Big Pine!

Our campout for August 22-24 has been moved to Big Pine Equestrian Group Campground near Fawnskin. All other details remain the same.  

 The cost is $70 per participant and registration will remain open through Aug 11th.  Payment is requested by Aug 4th for those already registered.  Please write "Have bike" or "Need bike" in the notes on the registration,  "Need Bike Transported" or "Can transport my bike" and what time you are able to leave on Friday.  The troop can make arrangements for mountain bikes to be borrowed for our scouts needing one.  .  See Mr. Gustafson's example on the now Big Pine (Tanglewood) registration and Tanglewood email.

Catalina Backpacking Trip is Just Aroud the Corner!

On May 24th our troop will be taking the Catalina Express to Two Harbors and backpacking for the weekend.  Scouts will spend the first night in Two Harbors and the second night at Little Harbor Campground.  Scouts prepared for this trip with 5 different hikes throughout the spring.

Camporee is Coming!

Camporee is almost here and that means collaboration, competition, and camping!  This is one of two Goldenwest District (GWD) campouts and is not organized by our troop.  We partiicpate in activities planned by the GWD and run by the troops in the GWD.  Scouts compete against other troops in cooking, knot tieing, and camping skills.  

New Positions of Responsibility (6 month term)

At our last meeting we elected new Positions of Responsibility (POR) and our new Patrol Leaders are now in place.  Remember to earn your POR you must be present at 75% of scout events (Meetings, campouts, service projects etc) during your 6 month term.  Failure to meet the attendance policy will result in not earning credit for your POR.
